A puppy's had to have its tail amputated, after two men tried to cut it off in a housing estate in the west of the city.
The DSPCA says members of the public saw them acting suspiciously at the side of a green area in Clondalkin on Wednesday afternoon.
A very sharp blade was used and people heard the dog named 'Pickle' making a terrible noise - the men then got into a black car and drove off.
