Two Dublin Councils issued no fines for litter on their beaches despite piles of rubbish being collected over the summer.
Dublin City Council and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council failed to issue a single fine between March and August this year although thousands flocked to the popular beaches.
Fingal County Council issued over 5-hundred fines of 105 euro for general littering.
Both Councils have now released statements confirming no fines were issued.
