Two Charged In Connection With Armed Robberies

Two people have been charged in connection with two armed robberies in Dublin.

Staff at EBS offices were targeted within twenty minutes of each other last Friday morning.

Just before 10am a man burst into an EBS office in Blackrock with what looked like a pistol.

He threatened staff on Main Street, but ran off empty-handed after one of them tried to take the gun off him.

About twenty minutes later, staff at EBS in nearby Dun Laoghaire came face to face with a gunman.

Cashiers on George's Street in the town were forced to hand over a large amount of cash, believed to be in the region of ten thousand euro.

A man in his 40s was charged with attempted robbery and robbery, he appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court at 10.30am this morning.

A woman in her 30s was also charged with possession of stolen property.

Another man was questioned and released without charge.
