Gardaí say a potential shooting's been averted following a number of arrests in an 'intelligence led' operation in West Dublin.
Two men in their 20s and 30s have been detained.
A loaded gun and ammunition were seized by members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Emergency Response Unit.
The operation was carried out yesterday but details are only being released now, for operational reasons.
The two men detained are being held at Clondalkin Garda Station.
