Emergency services are praising the “brave actions of passing motorists” that pulled an unconscious driver from a burning car last night.
Wicklow Fire Service said the man was pulled from the car after a crash on the N81 last night.
Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a crash involving two cars that happened at Ballysize, Hollywood, County Wicklow at 9pm last night.
Investigators said one of the cars caught fire after the crash.

The driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the other car, aged in his late teens, and three passengers in their 20s were taken to Naas General Hospital with minor injuries.
A fifth person in the second car was also uninjured.

The Tallaght Ambulance Service said the man “owes his life” to those that pulled him from the wreckage.
It said ambulance services from Athy, Baltinglass and Tallaght were assisted by the Wicklow Fire service at the scene.
