Today is officially the hottest day of the year so far (but not for Dublin).
Met Eireann says temperatures at Shannon Airport and Oak Park in Carlow reached 28.7 degrees this afternoon.
Phoenix Park in Dublin recorded a high of 24.5 degrees, while the mercury at Dublin Airport reached 23.2.
