A tiger kidnapping trial has collapsed due to a suspicion some jurors were using outside information to make their decision.
Dubliner Jonathan Gill is accused of taking part in a €660,000 robbery in Drogheda.
The 35 year old of Malahide Road in Swords has spent five weeks in the dock for an alleged robbery and false imprisonment.
He's accused of being one of 5 who kidnapped a Drogheda postal worker, his partner and their 10-week-old baby daughter before robbing €660,000 from the man's workplace in August 2011.
Today the judge discharged the jurors after one of them revealed a suspicion that others were using information from outside the jury to make their decision.
The case will be mentioned again later this month.
