Three sites around Dublin are set to be developed for private and public housing.
The areas in Santry, Darndale and Cherry Orchard are being advertised by Dublin City Council.
The sites at Oscar Traynor Road, near Cherry Orchard Hospital, and at the junction of the Malahide Road and Belcamp Lane are earmarked as the first developments since the property crash.
Dublin City Council is looking for companies to build private and public housing on the lands that total more than 30 hectares.
Developers and financiers have until this Friday to apply to take part in talks with the local authority.
Around 1500 houses and apartments could be built on the sites.
