Apparently it's a pet peeve for famous people like Simon Cowell, Jennifer Aniston and Britney Spears; the question is - how do you hang yours?
After decades of heated debate in many households, the great toilet roll debate has finally been solved. (Phew!)
Households have been torn apart for years with the argument over whether the paper should go over the roll or under.
Now, the original patent for toilet paper registered in 1891 by Seth Wheeler in New York has been uncovered.
It states the paper should go over the top of the roll, and not under.
Technology writer, Owen Williams, uncovered the original patent online, and shared it with his followers on Twitter.
