Theresa May has lost the crucial vote on her Brexit deal in the House of Commons.
She was defeated by 432 votes to 202, after the deal was rejected by MPs from opposition parties, the DUP and dozens from Mrs May's own Conservative party.
The British Labour party has tabled a motion of no confidence in the government, with leader Jeremy Corbyn calling tonight's vote a 'catastrophic defeat' for the government.
Mrs May told MPs the government will allow for the confidence motion to be debated and voted on tomorrow.
MPs have previously voted to demand the government comes forward with an alternative proposal or 'Plan B' by Monday.
European Council President Donald Tusk took to Twitter, appearing to suggest the UK remaining in the EU is the only positive solution now:
If a deal is impossible, and no one wants no deal, then who will finally have the courage to say what the only positive solution is?
