There will be no Dublin Bus services running on Friday.

Due to the Red Weather Warning in place until 3pm tomorrow, the company says it "will not be in a position to operate any services tomorrow, Friday 2 March."

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused, however this decision has been made in the interest of the safety of our customers and employees."

Dublin Bus says it will monitor the situation closely tomorrow and take advice from Met Éireann and the National Emergency Co-ordination Committee.

Luas services will also not be running tomorrow.

The combination of The Beast from the East and Storm Emma has forced all schools and colleges to stay closed for the rest of the week.

Dublin City Council has closed all parks, leisure centres and libraries until further notice, and most shops are also shut.

As well as stocking up on essentials, we're also being reminded to check in on the elderly, and take pets in from the cold.
