The Five Star Electric Picnic Banquet Raising Money For Charity

As summer draws to a close, and thousands of people lap up the last of the sunshine, a slap-up dinner will be laid on in Stradbally Hall this September.

The Banquet at Electric Picnic has been dreamed up by top cooks Derry Clarke and Clodagh McKenna.

The five star fine dining experience will see music fans served a mouth-watering menu, while also helping two charities.

Tickets for the dinner, which can be booked here, cost €120, and the money will go towards Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and Pieta House.

There will be a number of sittings across the weekend, and the dress code is Black Tie come Festival Fabulous.

The luscious line-up of food will consist of a starter of Irish salmon gravlax, dry-aged Irish Angus beef followed by honey roasted Peach with Amaretti crumble for dessert.

While vegetarians will be treated to a sumptuous menu of tempura vegetables with Asian fusion flavours, gnocchi with wild Irish mushrooms, leek paired with truffle and parmesan dressing,

The food served will be from the Finest range at Tesco. Denise Fitzgerald from Temple Street Children’s Foundation, said “We’ve a long standing partnership with Tesco and Electric Picnic; to pair the two and raise vital funds for the little heroes of Temple Street is a recipe for a great weekend”.

The second charity to benefit from The Banquet is Pieta House. Its CEO, Brian Higgins, said the group is "delighted to be a beneficiary of this brilliant initiative by Tesco and Electric Picnic."

Derry Clarke said he is "delighted" to be cooking for the charities, while Clodagh McKenna admitted there is "nothing I love more than music and food".

Seats are limited, with four sittings over the weekend, two on Saturday and Sunday at 1.00pm and 5.30pm with each sitting lasting approximately two hours.
