An eight-hour dance party takes place from 12-8pm at the centre of Henry Street throughout the day.
The event is held in support of the kids in the Temple Street Children's Hospital.
“Bodies That Can Never Tire. The Whole City Must Dance – the Whole City Must Bid!” - is also organised as part of a bid for Dublin to become the European Capital of Culture by 2020.
Various acts and age groups are taking part in showing off their dance moves, including a group from St John of God Hospital, who were one of the first acts to kick off the party.
Special events manager from Temple Street Hospital, Angi McNulty, said she hopes that many attend:
"If you want to have a little dance, or move your feet for Temple Street and give a little donation, we'd love to have you along and join in the fun of all that's wonderful about Dublin city."
