We're set for top temperatures today of 23 degrees. Any other year, that would be cause for a celebration. We'd take the day off! In the context of this heatwave though, well it's bordering on chilly!
However Met Eireann's five day forecast shows temperatures are expected to soar again next week and could hit 30 degrees.

It comes as Dublin and many parts of the country enter an official state of 'absolute drought' from today. That's fifteen days in a row without rainfall.
Irish Water has extended the hose ban nationwide. It means you could be potentially fined for using a hose to carry out non-essential activities. The utility is continuing to urge people to conserve supplies. Demand has dropped since the ban came into force in Dublin earlie this week, however it's still outstripping daily supplies.
