October's temperatures have been mild so far but that's all set to change.
Met Eireann is reporting a drop in temperatures, with lows of -2C in some places across the long weekend.
"Over the weekend, the nights will be cold with frost developing in many areas and a risk of icy patches in places."
Northerly winds will bring showers on Saturday, although Sunday and Monday are set to be drier.
Daytime temperatures will range between 6 and 11 degrees, but nights will be frosty with temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees.
