Representatives from the hospitality sector will meet Government officials today to discuss reopening indoor dining.

The plan will give access to people who are fully vaccinated or recently recovered from Covid-19.

Unvaccinated children will also be allowed in, so long as they are accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

At today's meeting, the hospitality industry will seek the resumption of normal trading hours and the scrapping of a proposed time limit.

Final sign-off from Ministers is expected tomorrow, with Monday the target for reopening.

Meanwhile new guidelines on how pubs and restaurants can facilitate customers indoors are set to be issued by Failte Ireland in the coming days.

The President, Micheal D Higgins, is also expected to soon sign the necessary legislation, after it was passed by the Oireachtas last week.
