The athletes were welcomed to the city with an opening ceremony in Tallaght Stadium on Thursday night which featured an Air Corps flyover and a performance by country singer Jake Carter.

The games are a chance for the athletes to show off their skills and hopefully be chosen for the World Games next year in Abu Dhabi.

The sport continues today and tomorrow. There is a range of events happening to coincide with the games for more information please click here
