Six people have been rescued after a boat got into difficulty off the coast of Dalkey.
The vessel had become entangled in a fishing pot marker.
The volunteer Dun Laoghaire RNLI lifeboat was called to the scene at around 10.50 last night.
Second Coxswain, Eamon O’Leary said 'it was dark during the callout and in these situations it is so important to raise the alarm as soon as possible and to ensure that everyone onboard is wearing a lifejacket.’
