Joni Sledge, who recorded the song We Are Family along with her sisters, has died at the age of 60.
She was found in her home in Arizona by a friend on Friday.
Sister Sledge formed in 1971 but had to wait 8 years for breakout success with the tune that became an anthem of unity and women's empowerment.
