Members of the public will have the opportunity to pay their final respects to the late Sinéad O'Connor on Tuesday morning as her funeral cortege passes along the seafront and her home of 15 years in Bray, County Wicklow at 10:30, before a private burial.

In a statement, her family said the route will begin at the Harbour Bar end of Strand Road and continue along the seafront to the other end of Strand Road where Sinéad and her family will then continue on to the private burial.

The statement said: "Sinéad loved living in Bray and the people in it. With this procession, her family would like to acknowledge the outpouring of love for her from the people of Co. Wicklow and beyond, since she left last week, to go to another place".

Gardaí have asked that people gather along the Bray Seafront from 10:30 am on Tuesday if they wish to say a last goodbye to the late singer and activist.

Earlier today, a giant installation honouring the musician was unveiled on Bray Head.

The sign, which read 'Éire 🖤 Sinéad' was located directly above the World War Two navigational landmark and was erected by creative agency The Tenth Man. Each of the hand-cut letters measured 30ft tall.

Executive Creative Director Richard Seabrooke said it was a worthy tribute: "I've seen her journey in this life, and I've seen her tell her truth on the world stage and not be afraid to speak her voice no matter what the impact, good or bad. It's great to mark her life but also celebrate her power".

There's been a widespread outpouring of grief in Ireland and around the world, since the legendary singer's death on July 26th.
