Gardai are investigating reports shots have been fired at two men in Lucan.
The pair said they were attacked while sitting in a van in the Earlsfort area yesterday evening.
Neither were injured.
No arrests have been made, but investigating officers have found a burnt out car they believe was involved.
It was found on the Nangor Road in Dublin 12.
Investigations are ongoing.
