A Shelbourne football fan is due to be sentenced today for beating up a rival fan following a game in 2011.
At a previous court appearance, Peter Mullen of Tolka Road, Ballybough admitted punching and kicking the Cork City fan.
In MAY 2011, the victim travelled from his home in Cork to watch his side play out a 1-1 draw with Shelbourne Football Club at Tolka Park
He was 16 at the time.
A brawl broke out after the match and he woke up in hospital a few days later after being knocked unconscious.
After his arrest, Mullen admitted kicking the Cork fan and hitting him three times in the face but claimed he was punched first.
At a previous hearing, Judge Mary Ellen Ring said he could have left his victim permanently disabled if not worse.
The 21-year-old is due to be sentenced today.
