A service will be held for the victims of the Germanwings flight later, near the site of the crash in Digne.

Prosecutors are continuing to investigate the background of the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, who apparently deliberately flew the plane into the French Alps.

Yesterday, a torn-up sick note signing him off work was found at his house.

The former girlfriend of the co-pilot who crashed his plane in the French Alps on Tuesday says he'd wanted to 'go down in history'.

Andreas Lubitz was the only person in the cockpit when the Germanwings plane crashed - killing all 150 on board.

Sky's Mike McCarthy's in his hometown of Montabaur - and says the woman's revealed he may have been planning the act for some time.
