Two brothers jailed following a botched raid on a cash-in-transit van are due to appeal their sentences today.
Wayne Bradley of Ratoath Road, Finglas and his older brother Alan of Kentstown in Co. Meath tried to steal €900,000 in November 2007.
The Bradley brothers were part of a gang that was intercepted just minutes before a plan to rob a security van at a Tesco outlet in Kildare was due to be executed.
In 2012, they pleaded guilty to conspiring to steal cash from Chubb security, Alan was sent away for 7 years while Wayne got 5 and a half.
At the time, the judge said he felt the maximum sentence of 10 years in prison didn't go far enough.
But two years on, the Court of Criminal Appeal is due to hear from the brothers legal teams on why they feel the sentence handed down was too harsh.
