Dublin-based pilots at Ryanair have announced they'll go on strike again next week.

The action - in a row over working conditions - will affect passengers on Bank Holiday Friday the 3rd of August.

The announcement follows a warning from Ryanair that it may not need 300 Dublin-based staff this winter - partly because of the ongoing strikes.

The airline says the work stoppages are having a negative effect on bookings.

Ryanair's told 100 pilots and over 200 cabin crew they may not be required from October.

Ryanair has been forced to cancel 600 flights across Europe today and tomorrow due to strike action by cabin crew in Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

The stoppage will affect tens of thousands of holidaymakers.

Back home, the union representing striking Ryanair pilots based in Dublin will meet this morning.

Fórsa says it's impossible to rule out more unrest - while Ryanair says it's available to talk.

Earlier, spokesman Bernard Harbor said both sides need to be on the same page.

"We've made no progress in the talks that have taken place, we haven't even been able to meet with the company before yesterday's strike - the third strike.

"So today our dispute's committee will be discussing whether further industrial action will take place and when that's going to be."
