Gardai have drawn up a list of the 50 most prolific burglars as part of a massive crackdown.
They include offenders in Tallaght, Rathfarnham, Ballybrack and Bray.
So far nine have been locked up as part of the strategic policing plan.
According to The Herald specialist officers have compiled the Most Wanted list of offenders, ranked in terms of priority.
They range in age from teens to pensioners and are suspected of being involved in a massive crimewave across Wicklow.
18 of the top 50 are mostly based in Dublin in areas like Tallaght, Rathfarnham and Ballybrack.
Almost half are juveniles with some responsible for crimes like the repeated robbery of a jewellery store in Bray.
Each officer has been assigned a suspect or criminal to monitor and make sure that outstanding warrants are served and bail conditions enforced.
Gardai have also used checkpoints as part of Operation Thor to tackle the spate of burglaries, car thefts and robberies across the county.
It comes following three arrests overnight in Newtownmountkennedy as part of the sting.
Last month members of a Tallaght-based gang, who are linked toa spate of thefts were arrested in Blessington.
