A mother who lost her son in a road accident will hold a protest in Dublin this afternoon calling for the reduction of the speed limit in residential areas.
Roseanne Brennan and her family will gather at Leinster House from 1:30pm where they will be joined by the Sinn Féin Deputy Leader Mary-Lou McDonald to launch Jake's Law - which calls for the reduction of the speed limit in housing estates to 20 kilometres an hour.
6 year old Jake Brennan lost his life when he was hit by a car outside his home in Kilkenny.
The government will decide on Tuesday whether it will allow this bill to pass.
