The group behind graphic images of the unborn outside Dublin's maternity hospitals accept they've upset people.
But the pro-life organisation says it plans to ramp up its campaign, because it's offending advocates for repeal.
The seven foot tall images of embryos and foetuses are being displayed at the entrances to The Coombe, The Rotunda and Holles Street hospitals.
A statement from the Rotunda says the billboards are upsetting and distressing for many patients "who aren't visiting for the happy occasion of giving birth."
The Irish Centre for Bio Ethical Reform acknowledges some women may find them difficult, but insists medical professionals "should be encouraging the use of pre-natal imagery of abortion victims as part of that informed consent process, but they're not willing to show these inside their facilities so we're obliged to show them outside."
Dr Jean Engela also explains why they've chosen hospitals to display the posters.
"We need to find out what venues our opposition get most indignant about and realise that's where we're being most effective. And do more of it, and not less."
Dr Engela says the Centre doesn't take a position on the 8th amendment but suggests an 11 year old child, pregnant through rape, should carry the baby to term if her life isn't in danger.
"In that scenario, I believe you will find obstetricians and gynecologists, who will exercise their trained clinical skills do everything they can for that young lady and the baby that's carrying; and not have to extinguish the life of an innocent human being."
The Save the 8th group yesterday condemned graphic posters while advocates in favour of repeal say all campaigners should be sensitive with their campaign material.
