The Dublin portal has been turned back on - but this time with some time limits.

The art installation was turned off last week, following anti-social behaviour, including mooning and images of 9/11 being shown to the camera.

This move led to widespread public disappointment, and even prompted a mock funeral at the scene.

The livestream was turned back on over the weekend, but will now only operate between the hours of 11am and 9pm Irish time.

Barricades have been set up to prevent people from standing on the installation or getting too close to the camera, and blurring technology has been put in place to prevent the sharing of harmful imagery.

On the US side, security is present around the clock to monitor behaviour, but it's not believed this will be the case in Dublin.

The portal broadcasts between North Earl Street in the city centre and the Flatiron South Public Plaza at Broadway, Fifth Avenue in New York.
