21 people have now died as a result of the intense polar vortex gripping the Midwest of the US.
Subzero windchills and snow have seen temperatures drop as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius.
Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin are the worst affected areas.
