The future of a Magdalene Laundry site in the north inner city is still up in the air.

Dublin City Council hasn't reached a decision at its meeting on whether to sell it, and has adjourned the issue until September 13th.

Councillor Gary Gannon put forward a motion to try and prevent the sale of the former Laundry on Sean McDermott Street.

He says they didn't have enough time to debate it.

A petition to halt the sale has over 9 thousand signatures.
