A Fine Gael local election candidate is calling for non-Irish people living in Dublin to vote on the 23rd of May.

Nadine Meisonnave, a candidate for Pembroke-South Dock, has called for a greater effort by Dublin City Council and the Department of Environment to let non-Irish people living in the greater Dublin area know that they can vote.

The Estonian born candidate says she is astonished at the number of people who do not realise they have a right to vote.

Every person of every nationality who lives in Ireland for over 6 months and is over 18 years of age is entitled to vote in the Local Elections and can register to vote before the 26th of April.
