Police are to review Nigella Lawson's admission as a witness in a court case that she took cocaine.
Initially the Metropolitan Police said they would not take action at this stage.
But the force now says "a specialist team will examine the evidence".
The TV cook's two former assistants - Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo - were cleared of defrauding her and ex-husband Charles Saatchi on Friday.
