Newcastle Post-Mortem Results Will Not Be Published

Gardaí investigating the deaths of three children in their home in Newcastle, Co. Dublin say they are awaiting toxicology results.

Post-mortem examinations were carried out on the bodies of 3-year-old Carla McGinley and her brothers 7-year-old Darragh and 9-year-old Conor yesterday.

Gardaí say for operational reasons they will not be publishing the results.

Bodies Discovered

On Friday night, the bodies of the children were found in their home at Parson's Court in Newcastle Co. Dublin.

A woman who is aged in her 40's, who is thought to be the mother of the children, is still receiving treatment at Tallaght University Hospital today.

No arrests have been made in relation to the children's deaths.

A book of condolences is open in St. Finian's Church in Newcastle, where mass was also held for the children this morning.

Tusla says it has activated its critical response procedure.

It will be offering support through schools, counseling services, family support services, and local groups in the area.
