Molly Malone is staying exactly where she is.
The iconic statue was moved from Grafton Street to St Andrew's Church in 2013 to facilitate the Luas Cross City Works.
Today, councillors decided at a meeting of the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee that she will stay in that location.
They agreed that Molly's current location has proved to be very successful and offered a great opportunity for tourists to take photographs.
This proposal suggested that there was no suitable location anymore on Grafton Street after the new Luas tracks have been laid which would facilitate viewers as safely as the location at St Andrew's Church.
