Meth Lab Raided In Walkinstown

A 50 year old man has been held overnight by Gardaí after a raid uncovered a suspected Crystal Meth lab on the southside.

Drugs worth more than €450,000 were seized during the operation at a premises on the Greenhills Road in Walkinstown yesterday.

Gardaí also found powdered substances, a gas mask, at least 15 litres of chemicals, a portable stove and other drug-making equipment.

The man, who was arrested at the scene, is reportedly from the Czech Republic but has been living here for several years.

He is being held at Sundrive Road Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to seven days.
