Met Eireann has issued a snow/ice warning for the entire country.
The status yellow alert will come into effect on Tuesday at 6am and will remain in place until 9am on Wednesday.
"Wintry showers, mainly of hail and sleet, will become increasingly widespread during Tuesday leading to icy patches."
The forecaster also says some snow accumulations will occur.

A bright day with sunny spells. A few scattered showers could develop later, according to Met Eireann.
A windy day with afternoon highs of 6 or 7 degrees.
Tonight will be cold and mostly dry with clear spells. A few scattered showers are likely - some of them could possibly turn to sleet with a risk of one or two snow showers. Lows of 1 or 2.
Tuesday
Tomorrow is expected to be a cold and windy day with sunny spells and scattered showers.
Some of the showers could turn to hail, with a risk of sleet as well as a risk of snow showers on higher ground.
Highs of 5 to 7 Celsius, in a fresh to strong westerly wind.
Met Eireann says the weather is set to be very cold and unsettled for the rest of the week across the country.
