A massive 'No' sign erected by campaigners for retaining the 8th amendment has been removed from the Dublin mountains.

It was put up in a field near the Hell Fire Club by the man behind the controversial Ben Bulben demonstration in County Sligo.

It's understood a bull was used to 'guard' the sign which was taken down last night.

Tommy Banks from Sligo for Life says they took their demo to Dublin on foot of requests made by a number of southsiders.

"One of the Dublin men said they were getting a bull in to stay in the field where the No sign was in order to prevent any of the Yes aggressive people pulling it down like they did in Sligo."

Christopher Flanagan from the same group says the sign has been removed after "theatening calls were made to the landowner and decided to remove the sign for the sake of his wife."
