A 45 year old man has been arrested by Gardai investigating a stabbing in the city.
Gardaí were called to the scene at Clinchs Court at around 4 o'clock this morning.
The man, who was aged in his 40's, was seriously injured and taken to the Mater Hospital where he later passed away.
North Strand Stabbing
A second man who is also aged in his 40's was also injured.
He has been taken to St. James' Hospital for treatment.
Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 3am and 4.15am, or anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
