Man Rushed to Hospital After Sutton Stabbing

A man in his fifties has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in north Dublin.

The attack happened outside the Elphin Bar just off the Coast Road in Sutton at about 1pm.

It's understood the victim, a man in his fifties, sufferred multiple stab wounds.

He's been taken to Beaumont Hospital in a serious condition, though his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man in his thirties was arrested at the scene and is being held at Clontarf Garda Station.

Gardaí say inquiries are continuing into this "serious assault".
