The son of a man who died from head injuries suffered in his home in Dublin last Friday night has appeared in court charged in connection with his death.
Tony Tims had been out celebrating his 74th birthday.
His 47-year-old son Mark appeared in court today charged with assault causing him harm at their home at Rowlagh Green in Clondalkin.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody to appear in court again on Friday.
