Gardai investigating a stabbing at Carrickmines Retail Park in Dublin yesterday afternoon have arrested a man.
At around 4.25pm an altercation took place between two men outside a food premises, a 44 year old man received stab injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Vincents Hospital where he underwent surgery.
He is currently described as being in a stable condition.
The second man fled the scene.
In a follow up operation in the early hours of this morning a 35 year old man was arrested in the Kingscourt area of Co. Cavan.
He is currently being detained in Blackrock Garda Station.
