Gardai say they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a 29 year-old man in county Louth this morning.
Officers responded to a call at a house in the Oaklawns area of Dundalk at around 3.45am - where emergency services -were attending to a man - who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and he is currently being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The scene has been preserved and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Investigations are ongoing.
