A 23 year old man has appeared in court charged with criminal damage to a magnetic door after attempting to run onto the tarmac at Dublin Airport this morning.

Patrick Kehoe is accused of breaching security at boarding gate 106 and running out of the terminal after missing his flight.

This incident happened at around 7 o’clock this morning when a male and female passenger arrived late to Dublin Airport for a Ryanair flight to Amsterdam.

The boarding gate was closed and according to an airport spokesperson, the male passenger became agitated and broke through a door and made his way onto the apron trying to flag down the aircraft.

23 year old Patrick Kehoe with an address at Raheenaskeagh, Oulart, Gorey in Co. Wexford was arrested at the scene and brought to Ballymun Garda station.

Mr Kehoe appeared before Dublin district court this morning charged with criminal damage to a magnetic door at boarding gate 106.

He was granted bail and told to appear again on November 8th.

Judge Bernadette Owens directed the accused not to attend Dublin Airport in the meantime.
