Two men remain are still being questioned after a loaded gun was found in a car yesterday.
Gardai stopped and searched the car on the Howth Road at round 5pm on Monday.
The men aged 25 and 28 were arrested and can be held for up to 3 days.
Gardai believe there was an intention to murder.
