A review of 40 schools for potential structural defects should be complete by the end of the midterm break.
The Education Minister has said as many as 40 schools may have defects and will be examined by independent teams and Department officials over the next week.
One report suggested there was an 80% chance of a wall collapsing in one of the schools that's already been closed.
Education Minister Joe McHugh says he's setting up a team to inform the principals of schools potentially impacted:
"We had 30 schools for assessment yesterday were looking at 40 today so that's changing, that's evolving."
"I'm going to continue to ensure that we have as many of the structural assessment complete before the end of next week."
