The leaders of the 1916 Rising were remembered at an official opening of Richmond Barracks this afternoon.
Sabina Higgins, Tanaiste Joan Burton, Lord Mayor of Dublin Críona Ní Dhálaigh and relatives of those who fought in the rebellion attended the event.
The leaders, as well as 3,000 Irish rebels were held in Richmond Barracks before they were sentenced.
