The Minister for the Environment has intervened in the row over the Garth Brooks concerts.

The Sunday Independent reports that Alan Kelly, who's also the new deputy leader of the Labour Party, is trying to broker a solution.

The Taoiseach and Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions are also involved in talks aimed at agreeing a deal that would allow the gigs to go ahead.

There could be an announcement tomorrow
