A large fire broke out at a recycling centre near Dublin Airport overnight.

Three fire engines and the foam and environmental unit were dispatched to the scene at St Margarets in north Dublin.

The blaze was first reported to emergency services just after 11pm.

Crews worked with the facility's staff to break up the piles with hydraulic grabbers so firefighters could bring the blaze under control.

The fire has since been put out.
