It's been eight years since Kilmacud Crokes climbed the steps of the main stand in Parnell Park, but they are the kingpins of Dublin football once again.

On a bitterly cold night in Donnycarney, they claimed a 2-12 to 0-13 win against a St. Judes side who are still in search of their first ever title.

Crokes started the better, with the ever reliable Paul Mannion kicking four first half points and dictating the play.

Shane Cunningham, Craig Dias and Cian O'Connor all kicked a score each in the opening half hour, to ensure they went in at half time ahead seven points to three.

The Stillorgan men started the second half in the same manner as they finished the first with Pat Burke firing his shot into the roof of the Judes net, and it looked like they were going to take over.

However, Judes kicked started a comeback with Kevin McManamon seemingly everywhere on the pitch.

That comeback was short-lived however as Paul Mannion found the net for his side's second goal to crush the dreams of St. Judes.

Kilmacud Crokes are Dublin Football Champions after defeating their fellow south-siders on a final score of 2-12 to 0-13.

Scorers for Kilmacud Crokes: Paul Mannion 1-6, Pat Burke 1-0, Cian O’Connor, Craig Dias 0-2 each, Shane Cunningham, Callum Pearson 0-1 each.

Scorers for St Judes: Niall Coakley 0-4 (4f), Padraic Clarke 0-3 (1f), Kevin McManamon 0-2, Tom Lahiff, Chris Guckian, Seamus Ryan, Tom Devlin 0-1 each.
